Why pay for mixing and mastering?
Mixing and mastering is a key part of the creative process, and is more important than you may realise! Record labels are now expecting more and more, for artists to deliver them a finished song which is mixed and mastered to a high level for their consideration for signing. Making sure your final master translates across all platforms, radio and clubs. This is key to giving your music the greatest chance to succeed.
At Courthouse Studio we want you to succeed and your music to sound as amazing as it can! Each and every mix and master we undertake, we put our upmost in to making this happen for you, using our vast array of experience across all genres (including 5 number 1's). We also use only the highest quality analog equipment, including our SSL 4000
Series Mixing Console, world class monitoring including our ATC SCM25A & Apogee Symphony IO MKII, racks of the very best analog EQ's & compressors and, high end digital software, to give you that radio ready sound!

Stereo Mastering
All masters are run through a combination of valve analog mastering equipment, high end converters, and the very best digital mastering software.
We take this approach to ensure that you get the feel of a classic warm analog master, with the loud and punchy feel of a modern day master without the risk of any clipping.
Mastering price list
Single Stereo
Master - £30
Send us your final stereo mix, and we will master it to the highest standard using our top of the line analog and digital equipment, including our analog valve compression / EQ & high end converters.
* If you would like any alternate versions mastering (at the same time) i.e. Instrumental, PA etc. etc. then let us know. Additional passes cost £15 each
Additional Pass
Master - £15
Additional passes are alternate versions of your song mastering i.e. Instrumental, PA, Radio Edits etc.
* Alternate version must be mastered at the same time as the main version using the same settings. Additional passes cost £15 each
You will receive a high resolution 16bit - 44.1kHz file ready for distribution.
Our Stereo Mastering service has a 3-5 (business day) turnaround time.
Mixing & Mastering
All mixdowns will be mixed on our vintage SSL 4000 Series mixing console and analog rack gear, all running through our Apogee Symphony I/O converters. We combine this with high end software plug-ins to create a truly modern sound ready for the radio.
All our mixdowns come complete with a free master (unless specified otherwise).

Up to 6 Stems - £80
Send us up to 6 stereo stems, and we will run mix your tracks through our analog rack gear, SSL 4000 Series mixing console, high end software and world class converters, giving it the polish that it needs.
* vocal tuning not included in price. This can be discussed on a track by track basis
Mixing
Up to 24 Stems - £150
Send us up to 24 mono or stereo stems, and we will mix your track using all our analog rack gear, SSL 4000 Series mixing console, high end software and world class converters.
* vocal tuning not included in price. This can be discussed on a track by track basis
Mixing
Up to 35 Stems - £200
Send us up to 35 mono or stereo stems, and we will mix your track using all our analog rack gear, SSL 4000 Series mixing console, high end software and world class converters.
* vocal tuning not included in price. This can be discussed on a track by track basis
Mixing
Unlimited Stems - £250
Send us an unlimited amount of mono or stereo stems, and we will mix your track using all our analog rack gear, SSL 4000 Series mixing console, high end software and world class converters.
* vocal tuning not included in price. This can be discussed on a track by track basis
You will receive a high resolution 16bit - 44.1kHz file ready for distribution (if mastering is not required through ourselves, you will receive a 24-bit file ready for mastering).
Our mixing service has a 5-7 (business day) turnaround time.
2 sets of revisions included in the price (1 set for 'up to 6 stems'). Further revision sets will be charged at £25
Analog Summing
Our SSL Analog Summing service is designed for artists who are happy with their mix but, would like the tones that only a real SSL 4000 Series mixing console can offer.
Simply send us your stems, we will then run them through our vintage SSL 4000 Series console, summing through the console and the legendary 'SSL summing amps', giving you a final stereo 2-track bounce ready for mastering.

Analog Summing
Up to 24 Channels

We have 24 channels on our SSL 4000 Series Mixing Console that we can use use for your stems.
We recomend sending us 12 stereo stems (24 channels), but don't worry! If you want to send us more, we can simply send multiple stems down the same 24 SSL channel.
* Please note, that 24 channels does not mean 24 stems. On an analog mixing console, 1 stereo file will use 2 channels, and 1 mono file will use 1 channel. Any additional channels above the 24, will share channels with other instruments
You will receive a high resolution 24bit file ready for mastering.
